CodeAnt AI Secures $2M Seed Funding to Enhance AI-Driven Code Review Platform

San Francisco, CA – CodeAnt AI, a leader in AI-powered code review solutions, announced today a $2 million seed funding round led by Y Combinator, Brian Shin, and Uncorrelated Ventures, with participation from DeVC, Transpose Platform, and Entrepreneur First. This initial institutional investment values the company at $20 million.

The capital will support the expansion of CodeAnt AI’s engineering and business development teams, as well as the continued development of its code quality and application security platform. This funding comes at a critical time, as engineering teams face increasing demands to deliver high-quality software at an accelerated pace.

Addressing Code Quality Challenges

Founded in 2023 by Amartya Jha and Chinmay Bharti, CodeAnt AI is headquartered in San Francisco, with an additional office in Bengaluru, India. Jha, the CEO, brings extensive experience from leadership roles in platform and infrastructure at Zeta and ShareChat, managing systems processing billions of daily requests. Bharti, the CTO, holds a master’s degree in artificial intelligence from IIT Bombay and has a background in high-frequency trading systems and AI startups.

CodeAnt AI was born from the founders’ recognition of the inefficiencies in manual code reviews, which often lead to technical debt, bugs, and security vulnerabilities. Their platform leverages artificial intelligence to streamline the code review process, reducing review times by up to 50% and enabling teams to maintain high standards in the face of growing AI-generated code.

“AI-driven coding has shifted the bottleneck from writing code to reviewing it,” said Amartya Jha, Co-founder and CEO. “Our platform automates repetitive tasks, providing developers with real-time feedback and actionable solutions to ensure code quality and security without slowing down delivery.”

Innovative Technology for Modern Software Development

CodeAnt AI’s platform utilizes a proprietary language-agnostic AST engine to analyze codebases holistically, identifying complex issues that traditional reviews might overlook. Integrated with major security databases and customizable rule sets, the platform supports over 30 programming languages and seamlessly connects with tools like GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, and Azure DevOps. For security-sensitive organizations, CodeAnt AI can operate entirely within their infrastructure, ensuring data privacy.

The platform employs large language models and rule-based engines to detect anti-patterns, dead code, security vulnerabilities, and other issues, offering automated fixes and performance optimizations. By embedding into developer workflows, including IDEs and CI/CD pipelines, CodeAnt AI delivers instant feedback and one-click solutions, transforming lengthy reviews into efficient processes.

“CodeAnt AI empowers enterprises to replace outdated systems and achieve measurable productivity gains,” added Jha. “Our solution enables teams to deliver secure, high-quality code faster, maintaining a competitive edge in today’s software-driven market.”
